Windows PC Compatibility

Developing Windows CE (WCE) and WEH is available on: 

• Windows 7
• Windows Server 2003 - 2008 - 2008 R2
• Windows Vista
• Windows XP

What About Windows 10?

The required package, Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package is not compatible with Windows 10.

So you cannot develop the Windows CE, WEH things on Windows 10 PC.

If you have to develop on Windows 10 PC, you should configure Windows 7 by dual boot or virtual machine.
