PM5 Reset (Warmboot, Factory Reset)

This article describes how to reset the PM5.

There are two types of PM5 reset, Warmboot and Factory reset.

Warmboot can be said as "restart", and factory reset erases all customized configuration, etc.

Before start, note the location of reset button on PM5.

Perform warmboot when you want to restart the PM5. LED indicator will light on blue during warmboot process. To perform warmboot,

To reset all setting values as default, perform factory reset. LED indicator will light on red during factory reset process.

Factory reset will erase all customized configuration of PM5, device settings, symbologies settings, Bluetooth pairing information, etc.

Depending on the PM5 current activity mode, the way to perform a factory reset is different.

Current Activity Mode	How to Perform Factory Reset
Run mode	Press reset button until the blue LED blinks for 5 seconds. While LED blinks, press and release reset button and scan button on single trigger or sled simultaneously.
Low power mode
Power off	Press reset button immediately after pressing scan button on single trigger or sled to power on PM5.

You can do the factory reset using RingControl (Lite) app or parameter barcode, too.
