Reading RFID tags are too slow

RESOLUTION: Adjust Tx Cycle

If you change the Tx Cycle value, you can adjust the tag reading speed.


Tx Cycle (Transmit Cycle) is the option to set the radio transmission cycle. It is determined by Tx ON duration and Tx OFF duration.

Higher Tx Cycle reads the tag faster.

Tx ON duration

Duration to ON the transmission signal.
The higher Tx ON duration, the better performance (But power consumption will increase)

  • Range: 40 ~ 400 (msec)
  • Default: 200
Tx OFF duration

Duration to OFF the transmission signal.
the lower Tx OFF duration, the better performance.

  • Range: 0 ~ 255 (msec)
  • Default: 0

Adjust with RFIDControl

  1. Launch RFIDControl on the host device, and connect RFID reader.
  2. Open Side Menu bar and select Configuration.
  3. Select the Tx Cycle.
  4. Adjust the Tx ON & OFF duration in accordance with your reading environment.
