ISSUE

  • No keyboard on screen when using RDP
  • Software Keyboard (SIP) does not appear when using RDP
  • Software Keyboard does not work with RDP

RESOLUTION

Cause 1. Hardware keypad is detected


Solution: TURN OFF Built-in Keypad Mode

When RDP detects a hardware keypad equipped or connect to the device, the software keyboard will not appear.

If your device don't have any hardware keypad but the software keyboard still not appear, check the following item.

  1. Check if the Built-in Keypad Mode is turned on.

    - EmKit > EmSettings > Built-in Keypad Mode
    - Settings > System > Language & input > Advanced  > Built-in Keypad Mode

    Built-in Keypad Mode set the presence of a hardware keypad in the device as you need.
    (Even if your device has no hardware keypad).

  2. Turn off the Built-in Keypad Mode.
