ISSUE

  • Scanner is not available with an aimer



APPLIES TO

Android powered Point Mobile devices with scanner




RESOLUTION

When the device does not emit the aimer even if you press the scan button, check the following steps.

Cause 1. Disabled aimer


Solution: Turn on aimer

Navigate to ScanSettings > Options, and check if the Enable aimer switch is turned on.

Cause 2. Abnormal Scansettings


Solution: Reset Scanner Settings

Navigate to ScanSettings About, and perform Factory reset. After reset, check if the aimer is emitted properly.

Cause 3. Issue with scanner module


If the above steps cannot solve the problem, it may be an issue with the scanner module.

Request a module replacement to Point Mobile.
