ISSUE

The device does not turn on by pressing the power button

RESOLUTION

Follow the steps until your device can turn on

A. Press and hold the Power button for 12 seconds

  • It usually restarts the device

B. Charge your device

  • Connect your device to an AC/DC power source or cradle for charging it
  • If charge LED indicator flash red, the device is in charging mode
  • Charge the device for a while and try to turn on it

Use an original charger from the Point Mobile. Other chargers may damage the device. Also, make sure the charger is not wet.

C. Press the Reset Hole & Try to turn on without battery

  • Open the battery cover and remove the battery
  • Find the reset button and press it to clear all flash memory
  • Plug the AC/DC power source to your device and try to turn on without battery

If you can turn on your device in step C, plug the other battery which works properly and try to boot the device

a. Can turn on with the new battery - the previous battery might have a problem. Check Serial Number of it and request the replacement.

b. Still Cannot turn on the device - the battery connector of the device might have a problem. Request the repair

D. Request the repair

  • If you cannot boot your device even though you tried A~C steps, there might be a problem with I/O connector of your device
  • Request the repair
  • Failed to turn on device
  • Device does not start

Troubleshooting Steps

1Low battery

Charge device

Check if the LED blinks five times in red when you tried to turn on the device, it indicates the battery is too low to turn on the device. 

Charge the device using a power adapter or charging cradle first.

2Battery is not installed properly

Reinstall the battery

Remove and install the battery again referring to the user manual.

3Device freezes temporarily

Reset Power

To reset the device power, perform one of the following ways.

A. Press and hold the power button for 12 seconds.

B. Press Reset hole (Only for PM70, PM80, PM66, PM85, PM90, PM75)
    Refer to Device Reset Hole.

When the device vibrates, release the button. The device will boot automatically.

4System issue

Perform factory reset

Find the right model from the How to Factory Reset, and perform a factory reset.

5Repair or analysis requiredContact local reseller

If you cannot solve the problem with the above steps, contact your local reseller to proceed repair or analyze the issue.
