Before Start

To control the SIP, you must turn on the Built-in Keypad Mode.

Turn on the mode from: 

  • Settings Image Added> System Image Added > Language & input > Advanced  > Built-in Keypad Mode
  • (Android 9 and above only) EmKit Image Added> EmSettings Image Added> Built-in Keypad Mode

In the case of the device of keypad type such as PM66 or PM550, the end-users want to use physical keyboard basically.

However, the physical keyboard has the limit to using various types of keys.

Due to this reason, sometimes the customers want to use the SIP(Software Input Panel = Software keyboard) when they should use a specific key.

Go to EmKit Image Removed> Program ButtonsImage Removed

Select F1 in the button list

UI Step

Choose Direct input and Tap OK

Input '1008' which is the keycode of SIP and Tap OK

Tap Apply to save the change

After setting above, you can pop up and hide the SIP keyboard using F1 button when you input something.
