  1. Run Mongoose execution file(.exe)
  2. Copy the PFU file to web server folder
  3. Right click the PFU file, click Copy link address




Upload to Embedded web server

  1. Input target OS version to Version input box
  2. Add PFU file address to Download URL

There are two methods which can be used in deployment level, Using Schedule feature or Using intent.

#01 : Use sync schedule 'Sync Schedule with Server' feature in Scan2Stage makes the device run promised tasks on a specific day of every week.

You can put the OS update action on schedule for checking the device's OS version and updating the OS what if the newer version exists.


You must set the schedule when When you save the JSON script file for provisioning the devices , set OS update policy in advance and set the sync schedule with Scan2Stage Console

#01. Set OS update policy with JSON Script in advance, use Sync schedule with server feature

Server will check OS version following schedule you set. If newer version exists, progress the OS update.

via Scan2Stage.

After provisioning, the devices will get the server's JSON script file periodically in time The feature will get the JSON script file you saved to progress the scheduled tasks in time that you set.

How to set the Schedule?

Note

Make JSON Script file containing OS update task and Upload it to your server.

When you have some updates for the task, simply edit the file.

Check the schedule type that you are planning, you can choose whether 'Sync schedule with server' to apply the JSON script file would be applied in specific time(Apply in specific time) or in specific on a specific day of every week(Sync schedule with server).

If you choose 'Apply in specific time', set the date and time.

If you choose 'Sync schedule with server', set the days and time Set the days&time that  And then, input the URL of the JSON file containing OS update task.

#02: Using intent on Custom application

You can use intent on the custom application for OS Update by inputting the string in Extra parameter as same as reading QR Code.

But, because It requires to edit the custom application, please open the ticket to request for aditional additional progress.
